Howard Park: Nature, Neighborliness and a Community That Gets Things Done

In September 2026, we had the great opportunity of welcoming LiveBaltimore to Howard Park for its recent“Love Where We Live” neighborhood visit!

Their new feature,“Nature and Neighborliness in Howard Park,” captures so much of what makes our neighborhood special: beautiful homes and mature trees, access to parks and trails, and, most importantly, neighbors who look out for one another.

The visit included a walk through the neighborhood with residents Kaye, Marilyn and Seema, who shared what they value about living in Howard Park and why so many residents choose to stay and put down roots here.

The story also highlights Serenity Park, where neighbors and partners transformed a vacant, overgrown property into a community green space with walking trails, a custom bench and community activities such as movie nights. It is a great example of what we mean when we say Howard Park is a“community that knows how to get work done.”

And there is more work ahead. The article recognizes the opportunity along Liberty Heights Avenue, where continued investment in businesses, restaurants and neighborhood-serving amenities can strengthen Howard Park for both longtime and new residents.
